SciPy 2016 General Conference
Birds of a Feather (BoF) Sessions

SciPy BoFs

In an effort to increase community building, SciPy emphasizes the birds of a feather (BoFs) sessions to discuss primary or tangentially related topics in an interactive setting. These sessions usually include short presentations by a moderator and panel followed by an open discussion with everyone in attendance.

Topics of interest include state-of-the-project and BoFs based on the themes of the conference and the mini-symposia topics. Some example past BoFs include Reproducibility, Teaching Scientific Computing with Python, The Future of Array Oriented Programming, PyNE Updates, Python and Finance, NumFOCUS, Python in Astronomy, Collaborating and Contributing in Open Science, and the Matplotlib Enhancement Proposal Discussion.

BoFs topic submissions are welcome. Please use the form below to submit your proposed topic. Schedule session slots are limited, so not all BoFs may be scheduled. Proposals directed at the similar topics may be requested to combine sessions. Please submit your topic before June 27, 2016. Please send an email to scipy-organizers@scipy.org with questions or feedback.
